Dear Friend
over the years

I have felt your
arms gently
wrapped around
my heart

Giving me a sweet
squeeze

Always allowing
me courage

Today I felt them
begin to loosen
their hold

The joy of knowing
you will never end

You are taking a
portion of my heart
with you
