Our Family Garden Poem by Jennifer Brock

Our Family Garden

With love and tenderness and a careful beholding hand
A tiny bud to a fragrant bloom for it is the Master's plan.

With sunshine and raindrops tender seeds do sow
For in our family garden beautiful roses elegantly grow.

Sweet smiling Sarah Grace so innocent and pure
So filled with promise, a lovely bud quite delicate and demure.

From her soft twinkling toes to her rose petal nose
Big blue eyes and tiny pink frocks with ribbons and bows.

With time to grow, to giggle, to walk and run
Sweet Sarah's days in the sun of our garden have only just begun.

Sent from Heaven on angel's wings for us to love and hold
What a blessing it is to watch her precious life unfold.

Rooted firmly is a flower so rare
So beautiful and humble no other can compare.

The guardian of our garden crafted from the Father's own hand
The matriarch of roses, the fair Ann does stand.

Never tiring of giving of herself or a helpful hand to lend
On this selfless rose you always can depend.

Her strength, her courage, her passion for giving
Dedicated and devoted to her family, her reason for living.

How I marvel at her power to weather come what may
And bloom so effortlessly no matter the night or day.

Content to bloom in the shadows of others, she does with such grace
For all the yesterday's, todays and tomorrows are written on her face.

This rose we call our own dear Ann well in the bloom of her life
She is our friend, our Nana, our mother and our wife.

Sweet smiling Sarah Grace and our fair Ann from tender seeds did sow
For in our family garden beautiful roses elegantly grow.
