Oh Despair Has Come Again Understanding A Friend Poem by Shalom Freedman

Oh Despair Has Come Again Understanding A Friend

Oh Despair has come again
Not in winter or in summer
But in most beautiful spring
Everything flowering outside
While inside empty and vacant
Motionless moping incredibly sad
Dead and wishing to be out of it
In such beautiful spring
With such sun and light and freshness
Out there
Inward lost and alone and hopeless and dead
Despair has come again
Despair now and forever and until the end of time and life
Despair out there everywhere.

You would be desparing if you were a Ronhingya Muslim. As you are not write a positive poem about why it is joyeous to be at the end of such an improbable life.
