Night Visitors ..... ['Gulsher, John' & Greek Mythology; Short; Philosophy? ]

Rating: 1.0

Old Hypnos came at night to visit John.
He came in the train of 'Mother', Nyx.
He came to take John to the twinkling stars,
he and bro Thanatos, ....with John betwixt.

John said to them 'I once chased two rabbits.
Would you believe both of them did scat?
Since then I've trod the road less-traveled.
What do you poem readers make of that? '

It's my way, anyway. (by John Gulsher aka 'Gulsher, John')

Time goes...who says? Ah no! Time stays like an ocean
but we'r moving like tides and die; No, no, die not but betray only time and space.
A twilight has gone and darkness swiftly grew.
I lie under the glamorous sky, and listening the night bird songs.
O brother of Hypnos! come and take me to the twinkling stars,
where i will meet my comrades' soul, I too, as they did, speak only my terms,
and easy to hate equally all; what shall 'he' fear that does not fear death.
A wise saying 'if you chase two rabbits, both will scat; that's why I often stepped
on the road, had not been taken.Oh bro, come, and have my soul, I wanna melt in your freezing arms. It'a my way, anyway.
=================================================

and here is something about the 'strange names' i used in my poem.

''HYPNOS was the god or spirit (daimon) of sleep. He resided in Erebos, the land of eternal darkness, beyond the gates of the rising sun. From there he rose into the sky each night in the train of his mother Nyx (Night) . Hypnos was often paired with his twin brother Thanatos (Peaceful Death) , and the Oneiroi (Dreams) were his brothers or sons.' '
