Mystic Blake Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Mystic Blake

Aspire in the surrealistic mire
Leave the myth of the republic
Soul breaks through the bonds
Spartacus dies in Roman chains

Great gargoyles guard the gates
Knowledge splits from ethics
Totem poets cleave to weapons
Fire in caves of master steel

Ships sail amidst the dragons
Masts of golden chivalry
Coffers of acquisition
Empires built on pagan eyes

In the desert they caravan
Flee to the forbidden mountains
The age of the new man
Pens and quills change the world

Upon the hill the dark castle rules
The new seance of technology
Thor thunders epitaphs of Goliath
Dissolve medieval aristocracy

Born into the morose of war
Drama guides art into propaganda
Sold into ancient slavery
State worship in Hegelian finesse

They come down in great number
Universal faces from the dark side
Air filled with prince and power
Temptation in the wilderness

Mystic Blake writes his visions
