My Dream Poem by Hobert F. Herpin

My Dream

Last night I dreamed of a heavenly place
And awoke with a smile upon my face.
I dreamed of a place, an enchanted land
"Where love and peace took full command.
There was no sorrow, no pain, no tears.
Where time was measured beyond the years.
I reveled at the beauty of this wonderful place
Where a warm smile shone from every face.
I prayed in my dream to stay in this land
I begged to dear God to understand.
Then a soft voice spoke to me from above
A voice overflowing with kindness and love.
"Love thy fellow man, and do not fear.
Believe in me, and I will lead you here."
