My Best Friend Poem by Swathi Harish

My Best Friend

Rating: 5.0

Crystal clear water on a full moon night,
Reminded her face with a smile so bright,
Strands of silk tucked down into curls,
Her hair so pretty, too good to be a girl's
And when she leaned towards the mirror
I saw my best friend's image appear

A bit mad, a bit stubborn
Even the devil in her was cuteness-prone
To anyone in need, she never said no
A girl more helpful, I will never know
And when she peeped into a river flowing,
I saw my best friend smiling.

Her hand talked to brushes, her eyes to paint
Her beautiful sketches made reality file complaint
Her speech was brisk, when her mood was right
But never did she let out her inner plight,
She looked out the window and waved at me,
Yes, she is my best friend, and will always be.
