Music Everywhere Poem by Kaki Venugopala Rao

Music Everywhere

MUSIC EVERYWHERE

Who says music
Created by musical instruments
Andsingersalone?
Can't we find music
From other than these sources?
Yes, we can hear music
From myriad sources
If our ears are keen
To hear and absorb
The music around us,
The world resonates
With varied, unique
And sonorous music,
Everywhere music flows,
Music streams
From every object
In nature so amazingly;

Birdie music from singing birds,
Windy music from blowing breezes,
Leafy music from rustling leaves,
Liquid music from running brooks,
Kid music from smiling babes,
Love music from laughing beloved,
Mechanical music from the rhythmic
Gait of the train on tracks,
Cattle music from bleating sheep
And mooing cows,
Rainy music from the pearly
Rain-drops falling on roof-tops;
Enthralled, I just keep
My ears wide open,
Letting every note
Of music from all sources
Flow into my blood and veins,
