Mindlessness Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Mindlessness

He is dead; let's forget what happened
Let's stick to why, how
Let us dig in ourselves
Let us see what is wrong
Let us find why diverged; love to hate

We start with me when I come there
To your door and then knock
'I'm in need, ' I'm polite and seek help
What if things were reversed?
You had come 'I'm in need...' no reply

Let us sit and speak eye to eye
Let us hear what is said with our hearts
Let us talk
Let us walk hand in hand
Let's confess we are wrong

We are both
We're killer and the dead
With mistakes; mindlessness
