Might Of Men Poem by Bernedita Rosinha Pinto

Might Of Men

Rating: 5.0

Truth beholds
the tongue speaketh;
no men knoweth his fate
faith entails a cloud of hope;
intuition delves
necessity recommends;
actions forays
thoughts offer choice
preferences abundant
attainment of desirous necessities
man surrenders to glory,
self-satisfaction.
God he chooseth,
Religion he chooseth,
Food he chooseth
clothes he chooseth
house he chooseth
friends he chooseth
love he chooseth.
Directions, alternatives
options he chooseth
that permit his victory
Men- Editor of life
but the mode of his end
by illness, malady
crash or crushed
suicide or old age
Death chooseth for him.
Might of men vanishes
beneath the ground
no voice, no wishes
no jewels around his neck
only his skeleton rests
asking - was it worth
all the conquests.
