Loly, Loly Lonely Lullaby Ombo-Gumbo! Mumbo-Jumbo! Poem by Harindhar Reddy

Loly, Loly Lonely Lullaby Ombo-Gumbo! Mumbo-Jumbo!

Rating: 4.5

1
The sound I listen is of lonesomeness
same as the sight I see in your eyes
We veil it with plastic smiles, unable to bear
with fear and run away for a marathon
While acting to be preoccupied
we do win an Oscar yet fail to deal such an emotion

2
Maybe its root goes back to abandonment
tears is only ointment to smear
the ones we had held so close cut loose
joined fantasy league of those who're longer living
And are trading with these departing memories
Slowly, swiftly and briskly we felt like losing ground.

3
Yet, OMG this is just a subplot in what makes us lonely
- - True infringer is our foolery to accept change
for we dig our teeth deep into flesh, glazing at past, we bleed
Retrieving LTM which was once so empyreal
Tut! You see change is inevitable but love is eternal
Even if it's lost to somebody, it hovers like an aircraft

4
so it can be found, ready, steady,1,2,3, go,
Start all over again as love lake flows forever
Marigolds without petals are just dying flowers
but are bound to blossom once more.
So deal with loneliness, eternal emotions
As wind drifts and sand shifts we tend to hold
The broken thread of the kite and remain trapped
within sweet-sad, good-bad memories that we had.

5
By the by new way lie- - to seek a quantum of solace
in the horizons new and vistas view that surround us....
So bloom, arise, and awake above the land that is lost.
