Listen Poem by Megan Colligan

Listen

Everything has a sound

Silence's is golden

rich and heard only by a few

but if you listen, just listen...

You will hear the sound of Silence too

Yet do not see it through with a faint heart,

for faint heart's only sovereign is fear

and for those who cannot stand it,

Music will revere

Sweet melodies to sour felonies

do we dabble in with sound

and when you're old and grey,

and silver has had its way

do you finally turn around...

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Notion of 'waking up' and seeing what's in front of us. Open to any interpretation, although for me personally, I would say it was spiritual in nature.
