Lifetime Memberships Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Lifetime Memberships

The only ones today,
Observed to be upset by disappointment...
With it done suffering through severe depression,
And overwhelming anguish...
Are those who have been told,
The amusement park is finally closing.
To find rumors of their their fantasized existence,
True to prove and there is nothing they can do.

And yet some regretting,
These changing economic times to face...
Can not seem to come to terms to replace,
The realities of life they wish to eliminate.
To begin to threaten to end their own lives,
Unbelieving it to realize...
There are no escapes or rebates that are offered,
For the ones who have purchased lifetime memberships.

Aloha Lawrence... Happy Giving Thanks Day! I am finally in and done... like Tom, the turkey! 24 hours of scrambling to get my words out... and scrapping with the she wolf, who happens to make my gravy... the ins and ousts of relationships exume the remains on a daily basis... how I miss my youth's oasis... Thanks for this chip off of the old chipper ryu... All of the best from this life, to you, and all of your relations... Michaelw1two.
