It's Not As Though Poem by Raymond Farrell

It's Not As Though

It's not as though
the subconscious ceases to function
and dreams no longer exist
during our waking hours
anymore than the stars
cease to shine in the day
their luminosity though not apparent
persists in the glare
of the midday sun.
