It Was A Dream To Dream In Love Poem by Terence George Craddock

It Was A Dream To Dream In Love

Rating: 5.0

he walks in memories
memories of a lovely homeland
where his heart still lives

where the beautiful enchanted oak trees
in wonder wisdom seemed to grew so tall
where the violets singing grew so sweet

it was a lovely homeland so long long ago
where a stream of memories do flow flow flow
in a land of happy innocence so long long ago

it was a dream a dream
where he kissed in German
where he spoke in German
where he loved in German

he said you'd scarce believe
how good it sounds the words
'I love you true' in German
It was a dream It was a dream

still the heart yearns
still the heart sighs
still the heart cries
in memories flies
