Hope Poem by Lauren Harper

Hope

There was a time when I had hope. There were a handful of moments in which I felt free. But that time, those moments have done not but walk if not bolt away from me. At first there was hope. Hope for these rare moment you see. But that was until the day came when hope was revealed to me. Hope you see is not but false security. Hope is trusting wen there is no trust. Hope is wishing when there is no reciprocation. Hope is not but a figment of my imagination. Now go. Run far away. You will not drag me in zig zag lines all over the page.
