I met a woman in a burned out land
She had a frog clutched in her hand
'What's that? ' I asked. I heard her say
'Its my families food for today'
I met a man in this arid land
With brackish water cupped in his hand
I asked 'What is that? ' and heard him sigh
'It just may keep my child alive
I saw a boy sitting on the sand
Observing dust within his hand
I asked'What's that? ' He raised his head
'All that's left of hope' he said
I wandered off to have some tea
I'd hoped there would be things to see
Though the sun always shines and there is no rain
I don't think I'll come here again
