तुम्हें अपनी मुस्कान में बाँध लूँ मैं
अर्नेस्टीन नॉर्थओवर
मधुर क्षणों, मेरे साथ रहना
जल्दी ही खिसक न जाना कहीं
मुझे उनका लुत्फ़ उठाने दो
वो रात चांदनी, पहला चुंबन
उस रोमांचक क्षण को जी लेने दो
जो अभी अभी पाया है मैंने
यह पुलक भाव जिसके कारण
बदला सहसा संसार मेरा
अभी न जाओ ज़रा तो ठहरो
मेरे दिल के आँगन में आकर बिराजो
तुम्हारी निकटता का सुख पा सकूँ
और तुम्हें अपनी मुस्कान में बाँध लूँ मैं.

Sweet moment, stay with me,
and pray do not flee so soon,
Let me enjoy the bliss of that
first kiss beneath the moon.
I wish to cradle this feeling,
that has only just been found,
A feeling that has unexpectedly
turned my world around.
Do not depart, Oh please remain
within my heart awhile,
So that I can savour you once more,
and hold you in my smile.
