God's Fruit For Life Poem by Michael P. Johnson

God's Fruit For Life

Who'll love, endless life, acquire
Slumber, no more nor sleep
Spread forth the seed of desire
Heaven would gladly reap

Pray God The Lord, cause swift to grow
Tender with love divine
Flourish beneath Salvation's Flow
Fruit, as for Heaven's wine

As life's tree; in Eden's garden
Increasing straight and free
To obtain salvation's pardon
God's chosen crop should be

From country, city, village, town
To rich to poor, the same
Each will receive life's ring and crown
Without a spot of shame

In the hand of the living Christ
Knowing how, why He died
Knowing for man, was sacrificed
In Heaven to abide

Have you will, enough to come now
Believe and trust today
Truly, Jesus your knee to bow
To show Life's living Way

A little faith, a little trust
A little time to rise
Will raise fruit growing from the dust
Far, beyond Paradise

Who would believe, someone like me?
Would see God's truth first hand
That God Himself would set me free
To enter His Promised Land......
