From Here On In Poem by Tony French

From Here On In

Rating: 5.0

I stand tall in this hour
On the edge of faith
Clenched fists, eyes wide

In the valley below me
These aimless strangers
Beneath me

The light of the moon
Both hands on my shoulders
Reassuring, confirming

I breathe in deep
My lungs fill with cries
I pull back the stars and exhale

The moment has passed
The sun reaches through me
With me, below me
