Five Turns Into One Poem by Larry Perry Sr

Five Turns Into One

Five Turns Into One

Got a green light, got a red light but I still don't know which way to go

I look to my left, I look to my right, I looked in my rearview mirror to make sure I have a clear sight before I make a right turn heading straight up the street

Trying to find a familiar street and can't find one anywhere, now I'm lost going around in circles, which way oh which way did I come from?

Now I know I'm lost everything looks so strange it's a shame I got lost just going up the street

But now it seems like what turned out that should've been a 10 minute drive turns into an hour's drive

Too afraid to stop to ask directions because everyone looks crazy and looking at me like they can eat me for lunch

Bunch of them launch towards the car to wash my windows for some change, I hurry up made sure my doors were locked and my windows was up, I pressed on the gas and off I went in a flash and I never looked back

I said to myself jump back Jack I'm out of here, see you later crocodile, don't want to be you and before I knew it, I was back where I started from cool calm and collected
