Farewell Poem by Andrea Lopez

Farewell

Leave me out in this unsatisfying realm
As I have neutered you back to life
You made me overwhelmed
As you carved me away with that forsaken knife
How you threw me away
Left without a trace
Wouldn't permit me to stay
Nor look at my face
Did I really lead you to pain?
Or was that your personal mistake
That led you to be insane?
You're devious as a devilish snake
Couldn't you have said goodbye
Instead of fleeing in the night
So cold I couldn't notice the sky
Because of you I had lost the sight
Must I perished
To this pain
I have nothing to cherish
And nothing to gain
