Family Poem by Drake Grey

Family

Rating: 5.0

glowing orbs of blue fire
independent in the deep black reaches
who do they know and love

is it luck on a lone island
sleeping dreaming

they say the sun is just a ball of fire
and that our hearts pump only blood

but were it not such a wonder

romancing the dropp back to the oceans cradle

we could say that life was handed over

if you would but sing a song of praise
to galaxy full of poets
working with little reason

only looking for a symbol to guide them

forever a home
we acknowledge love universal
