Fading Into Yesterday Poem by Heather Burns

Fading Into Yesterday

Rating: 5.0

Sitting still on a hill
not a sound is heard
silence surrounding

Reflections in a stain
glass window
etched in the frosted
facade

your image fades into
yesterday
Roses in the garden wilts
suffering for a drink of
water

the gardener is not present
to attend them
with a tearful eye
they fade into yesterday.

A melancholic feel is expressed here being very helpless...... the gardener is not present to attend them with a tearful eye they fade into yesterday. .... so intense, felt with a heavy heart

The gardener is not there to attend. They must survive on their own. Beautiful lines in a nice poem. Thank you.

Bold symbols are used here, Gardener- the guardian.. silence surrounding..wrapped with the [past panorama, the sad event.. etched in the frosted facade..old dry wounds are now green, They fade into yesterday. a kind of reverie..conclusion Heather I think the gone years were painful and the fade yesterday includes you .. lovely you are my best poet here on PH

Present has to fade into the past. A thoughtful poem.
