Escape To Free Poem by Liffy Liu

Escape To Free

I am sitting in the lonely shadow,
Waiting for the sunrise.
I reach out my finger to the window,
Just to touch the first ray of light.
I am trapped in the invisible castle,
Nobody can hear, nobody can help,
Searching for a way leading to outside.
There is nowhere to hide,
Anger and fear written in my eyes,
Tear is the last thing I want to have.
If I could make a wish come true,
Please set me free with nothing tied.
Fear can be driven away by hope,
Just like darkness can be wiped away by light.
All the pain perishes when I become free,
Running along with wind and rain,
Breathe the air of bravery after escape.
I love colors out there in the sun,
Bright and live without black and gray.
The only thing I am following is gay,
The melody of being free.
