Death Commemoration.... Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Death Commemoration....

Rating: 5.0

Death Commemoration

Last night on Remembrance Day on Dam Square,
heard the special speech by King Willem-Alexander.

Just recently on "Good Morning Netherlands" on almost all channels responded with praise and respect to that speech and an excellent high rating.

Very nice to hear that.

The king in the last months with beard and mustache,
he looks good, was there last night on the Dam with his consort Queen Maxima.

Without the presence of the public, as in previous years, now only with the king,
the queen, the mayor of Amsterdam, the president of the 4-5 May celebration
and our prime minister,
this speech sounds more powerful than ever.
Such an enormous silence and then that voice,
so quiet in all nooks, only the sound of doves,
this speech all the more beautiful.

Rightly that high rating.

The queen looks fashionable
excellent outfit,
She testifies from the beginning that she has an eye for everything
that is appropriate and beautiful.

A beautiful dark hat with matching translucent
jacket and slim trouser suit in black voile.
Dazzlingly beautiful!

The weather also helped, pleasantly
warm and sunny.

In honour of different groups, many bouqets were located on the Dam.
Per standard bouquet for at least 2 or 3 families.

Their faces were shown on big screens,
a grandmother with her grandson
or a grandfather.with his granddaughter

Also the winner of the Commemorative Dead poem,
the girl named Bolger read her poem with great seriousness.

In the personal speech of the king, his enormous appreciation was also shown for a mister Schelvis who had been imprisoned in 8 or 9 internment camps.
His parents and his wife did not survive the war.
In the film we can see an old man with the photo of his wife on a bench

I can appreciate this story very much.
the king had read that with enormous feel of respect to this old man Schellvis Sir.

All regrets for the 75th anniversary of Liberation Day,
no revelers to be seen in connection with corona lock down.
