Death Bed Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

Death Bed

Rating: 5.0

Thank you - for standing by my side
During the difficult and ill-fated days,
For your presence at a time when needed,
And for your concern and supportive ways.

Thank you - for lifting my spirits
As I lie seriously ill on my deathbed,
Together - reminiscing the happy times,
And for all the loving words you said.

Thank you - for your loyal companionship,
Honoring our marital vows of many years ago,
For helping to reduce my fear of death,
And now - I know it is time to go.

I will close my eyes and retreat into a peaceful sleep,
Worry not about what happens tomorrow,
Today will soon be gone - don't weep now,
Remember the days of happiness - forget the sorrow.
