Day Poem by William Blake

The Sun arises in the East,
Cloth'd in robes of blood and gold;
Swords and spears and wrath increast
All around his bosom roll'd
Crown'd with warlike fires and raging desires.

As the sun rises... as his heat rises life also grows with desires....a good thought pleasingly revealed in just five lines...like it- 10

here, Blake creates a picture of sunrise, with the interesting hues of red and gold. He sees the sunrsys as 'swords' and 'spears, ' extending from around the sun. Also he sees the sun, as if it wore a crown made of fire. Incredible imagination. A brilliant write. An interesting read.
