Cherry Blossoms Floated Poem by Ravi Kopra

Cherry blossoms floated
on water in the lovely spring,
Lovers walked hand in hand
in the lush park by the river.
Sometimes they would stop
to listen to the orioles' songs
under the tall bamboo trees,
Othertimes, they would pour water
over the grand statue of Buddha
by the pond of the floating lotus
flowers.Spring breeze, smiles,
gaiety everywhere. But lonely Lee
sat on a bench under a tree
and cried. His wife had died.
