Bronchitis Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Bronchitis

Out of the depths of my despair,
Full of pain and desperate now,
Wondering when my body will repair,
From this illness of which YOU are aware.

Relief from pain within my breast,
Is soothed by writing verses now,
For I do concentrate my Mind,
Away from the hurt to which I kowtow.

I feel like the speck of sand within the pearl,
Surrounded by layers of lacquer,
Watching the World pass around my body,
As if my presence does not matter.

Lethargic is my body today,
My strength is ebbing fast,
Recovering from my Bronchitis attack,
~ How long will this illness last?

I know I must wait till YOUR Healing's done,
I must have Faith in YOUR Divine Power,
For YOU will heal my body and my Mind,
Slowly each day ~ and hour by hour.
