Benjamin Clementine Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Benjamin Clementine

Benjamin Clementine

She
My French speaking Canadian friend
Has sent me his photo, his site, and I
Open the Youtube
Benjamin plays piano, sings strange.

I look in his eyes…penetrating
His lips…doubtlessly full, firm
And…
Each part is nice when I deconstruct
But…
Somehow nothing is beautiful when I construct him in his full portrait.
Yet…
I conclude…”He is great; he talks from his heart…the depth of his soul.”

Is this why she compares me with ‘Albert Camus? ’
