Bednight Poem by Victor Cruickshank

Bednight

Rating: 4.5

This is the end of my toils for the day
At this time I will just lay and pray
The stars and moon will stay
But wont be there when I awake
Oh how prosperous this day has been
Another gift given to us
The present is indeed a gift
Tonight, this night as I lay to sleep, i'll sway
And this last time I'll like to pray
And fall asleep looking at the stars
And fall asleep before the night goes away
The night's not a time to play, but a time to pray and lay
As my eyes begin to close
I'll sleep and say nay to a cafe au lait.
