Aloneness And Loneliness Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

Aloneness And Loneliness

Aloneness was never meant to be painful
Or to be full of sadness
Aloneness was supposed to be full of silence
Allowing the spiritual light to nourish the soul
And cultivate a heart full of love
Aloneness was supposed to be a communion
A time spent inside the house of God
Now we humans are full of thoughts
All kinds of thoughts ransack our minds
Some are beautiful thoughts full of light
Other thoughts are full of wickedness
Draining the heart of all the positive energy
Leaving us in a state of loneliness
Sometimes hate, anger and jealousy
It's our ego and selfishness
That have brought loneliness into our lives
We yearn for identities, attachments and love
Outside our own hearts
We look to other people for warmth and companionship
While we neglect our own spirit
Starving ourselves of happiness, hope and love
We patrol the streets of life
With beautiful smiles
In search of relationships
While all the bonds in our hearts are disconnected
And the door to our true selves is sealed
We look in vain
Into the mirror of life
And all we feel is loneliness

Aloneness is not at all painful. In silence this allows us to capture spiritual light. All we feel is loneliness and a feeling is a mirror that gives wonderful reflection of life. A brilliant poem is excellently penned.10
