from 'While Passing Through'/Summer
Just one strong gust
that made the elm bow low
now scattered on the ground
a riot of stems and branches.
a riot of stems and branches .. an undaunted spirit that craves for a revolution.. made the elm bow low very fine expressions dear poet Glen. thank u dear. tony
thank you, tony. a theme that's behind this and other poems of mine (who are we? for example) is our vulnerability. which, for me, doesn't make me live in fear but, rather, appreciate that things go well so much of the time. day by day is how jesus taught us to live and pray. may we live in constant gratefulness. -glen

I would like to translate this poem
This is how life is, It just takes a strong gust to blow us away into oblivion. God plans everything. We have no other choice but to flow with it. To be grateful for the time given to us should be our daily thanksgiving........10
Hi, Geeta! I’m glad you came on this one, and thank you for commenting. Feeling as I do about nature, witnessing what’s described in this poem reminded me that the difficult circumstances and the powers we may chafe under may disappear or be overturned suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere. It is best always to look to and trust in God. -Glen
