A Poison Tree

I was angry with my friend:
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

And I watered it in fears,
Night and morning with my tears;
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night,
Till it bore an apple bright.
And my foe beheld it shine.
And he knew that it was mine,

And into my garden stole
When the night had veiled the pole;
In the morning glad I see
My foe outstretched beneath the tree.

    In the morning glad I see
    My foe outstretched beneath the tree. /// no need to nourish the anger and hate in the garden of life; sometimes own anger and hate buy the dooms day of life!

    Wrath is poison. Nurturing it yields poisonous fruits that kill humans. A wonderful theme so poetically narrated!
    Congratulations to the poet, posthumously, on the poem's selection as the 'Classic Poem of the Day'!

    Night and morning with my tears;
    And I sunned it with smiles, ...Love makes great to life's essence. Life blooms and beautifies ever. Anger never lasts for long. An amazing poem is well penned.

    Beautiful. So nice rhyming along with a sweet note of perception of human values.

    'And it grew both day and night,
    Till it bore an apple bright.
    And my foe beheld it shine.
    And new it was mine, '

    The wrath of 'I' shines so bright and fills the 'foe' to the core.

    Anger if nourished can only lead to doom. It feeds on hatred and gives rise to terror.

    I get paid over $90 per hour working from home with 2 kids at home. I never thought I'd be able to do it but my best friend earns over 10k a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The potential with this is endless. Heres what I've been doing, < (" ;)
