A Mother's Day Gift Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

A Mother's Day Gift

Rating: 5.0

A pretty little girl - on this special day,
Thinking of her mother she loved so,
Wrapped colorful paper around a box
And carefully tied it with a simple knot.

Within this box lay a few small items
That were scuffed and worn from play.
It was a gift solely prepared by her,
For her mother on this special day.

And when, all the gifts were opened,
The little girl asked which one was the best.
Her mother pointed to the box of thoughtfulness
And claimed it was better than all the rest.

What a precious portrait of a little girl your words have painted. I have a feeling that you know her very well. Kindest regards, Sandra
