Afeather Poem by desamangalam ramakrishnan

Afeather

Rating: 4.0

This road is not named after you
though it is paved by your sweat
This magnificent structure not in your name
though made of your backbone
This garden not named after you
though it breathes your soul
All of them bear
the names of your masters.
But dear labourer,
be satisfied with the feather
gifted to you by a dove
that rested
on your muddy turban.
