6 To 60 Poem by jofelson abracia

6 To 60

What’s wrong was I did not foresee
That it could happen to you and me
Maybe I was just too insensitive
Doing things I know was never effective

Maybe I’d just have to blame myself
Of all the things I have cost to thyself
To be fair, I have not done
To be fair, I have forgone

I think it was not the right time
Stepped forward, and crossed the line
Look what did I just get
Something I might forever regret

Someone told me, I was just overacting
That there’s something good underlying
The chaos that had just occur
Tapped my back, it’s gonna get better

How does it feel to lose something?
If that’s someone, would it feel the same thing?
You don’t say goodbye when things go
Someone have to go and you can’t even say no

I am very sorry for getting you involved
But there’s so many things left untold
Like the list of facts about me
You were at 6, we can do it till 60

Now that I’ve locked another chain
On my load, never forget the pain
That I gave not only to me
But to you, I have never foresee
