If only your thoughts were as translucent as my soul
My being has become a museum
A contemporary collection
Although my memories have not been catalogued well
...

Fresh lies are shiny, bright pins

We are distracted by their brilliance
...

I melt
With your song
Drips watering winter grass
...

Every turn was one step further into the maze

One step closer to getting lost
...

I wish I could send my love for you
as a small packet by registered post
You would have to accept it
and sign on the dotted line
...

Hope isn't usually something
that suddenly jumps out
shouting and screaming.
...

There’s no difference between me and anyone else
Only I don’t have a shadow
It was eaten by expectations
Like the moths that gnaw holes
...

I watched his fingers caress the remote control
Forefinger and thumb slowly circling, an apparent act of love
And in the past I wished such acts had been dedicated to me
I would take his hand in mine gently, and there it would lie like lead.
...

I feel it as an unbending
An unwillingness to accept anything other
Than that which your mind and intellect has determined to give
I'm no longer sure where your soul is hiding.
...

The realisation of one’s insignificance,
is a cold knife driven slowly into the back

No excuse for being always late.
...

Fluctuate

No rhythm as in, breathe in breathe out.
Rocking unsteadily, ready to grab
...

Hidden inside
we all have the desire to reach autumn

The gold and reds
...

All the time the sky was falling down

There was no noise
...

The sky was clear, blue, blue, blue
With a boasting sun that screamed
I am perfect, I give light, I give heat
...

The road hasn’t ended yet
The harsh dry leaves earlier rolled over and over in a low lying wind
scratching the surface with a rattle
...

In sleep we hope to forget the painful
and relive the exquisite

But sleep is like time, like water, like a foreign soul
...

I’m too tired to weave anymore
The first threads are already worn
My fingers started to bleed
turning blue to purple
...

Are you aware of the vastness of the word bereft
It is not adorned with curlicues
It is immense
...

Death will come soon no doubt
The bumble bee in the December sun
Moving, tasting
The painted lady,
...

If I promise not to talk of the yesterdays

And don't ask for any tomorrows
...

Translucent Thoughts

If only your thoughts were as translucent as my soul
My being has become a museum
A contemporary collection
Although my memories have not been catalogued well

Having spoken to you
You have become both nearer and further away
Waiting to see you
Hoping to see you
It's a fool's game

I still harbour a kiss
My lips are primed
And perhaps unable to obey the metal of my mind

Will you perceive all of this the moment our eyes meet?
There is no veil for a translucent soul.

I'm calm
And you said you are as well
