    Dylan is a universal poet, his poetry is known in many different countries, and I think this would please his soul, as he certainly wasn't recognized in his own country in his lifetime. America discovered him. I've written a poem to him on his 100 birthday. I'll enter it on poem-hunter another day. His voice outshines anyone I've ever heard, his readings were apparantly magical, Richard Burton does well, but can't match Dylan's own voice, so do try and listen to him - you won't be sorry. I would have to be a genius like Dylan to express how wonderful his poetry is to the soul.

A Child's Christmas In Wales

One Christmas was so much like another, in those years around the sea-town corner now and out of all sound except the distant speaking of the voices I sometimes hear a moment before sleep, that I can never remember whether it snowed for six days and six nights when I was twelve or whether it snowed for twelve days and twelve nights when I was six.

All the Christmases roll down toward the two-tongued sea, like a cold and headlong moon bundling down the sky that was our street; and they stop at the rim of the ice-edged fish-freezing waves, and I plunge my hands in the snow and bring out ...

I See The Boys Of Summer

I

I see the boys of summer in their ruin
Lay the gold tithings barren,
Setting no store by harvest, freeze the soils;
Theire in their heat the winter floods
Of frozen loves they fetch their girls,
And drown the cargoed apples in their tides.
